What would your marriage look like if you were not compelled by anger to say the thing that causes your wife or husband to stop speaking to you, or you were able to be more productive at work because your anxiety or sadness passed as suddenly as it came?
Suppose, in everyday interactions, you were able to teach your children to deal with frustrations skillfully.
How different would your life be if you experienced difficult emotions for minutes at a time versus days or weeks?
Sheree Bailey has a Ph.D. in clinical psychology and is licensed as a psychologist in California and Mississippi. She moved back to her home state of Mississippi in 2013 from Los Angeles to use her skills to help the unique people in the region she grew up in.
Trauma
Traumatic experiences leave a lasting impact that can affect daily life. I use my training in EMDR and IFS to help clients process traumatic experiences so they become less painful. Clients who have processed and made meaning of their experiences can live better lives with less fear and avoidance.
Tweens and Adolescents
The tween and teen years have always been challenging, but now even more so as they have access to so much information. I specialize in teaching tweens and adolescents techniques and new ways of thinking so they can confidently face these challenges.
Adult ADHD Evaluation
Many adults have lived with ADHD their whole lives without knowing it. Some notable signs are failing to arrive at appointments on time, difficulties completing tasks at work due to becoming distracted, lack of organization, and constantly irrupting others in conversations. I use valid and reliable assessments and clinical interviewing to determine if ADHD is present. I then write a report that can be given to medical and academic professionals to assist with academic modifications and medications.
Depression and Anxiety
Most people struggle with depression and extreme anxiety at some point in their lives. I have extensive training in empirically validated treatments for these disorders. I use skills training and experiential trauma-informed approaches to help those suffering get relief and develop self-compassion.
LBGTQ+
Those in the LBGTQ+ community often have difficulties finding a therapist who is an ally. I provide a supportive environment for those in this community. I am also open to letting clients explore thoughts involving their gender identity and sexual orientation.
